Excellent overview of Epson’s x880 series by Joseph Holmes
I recently came across an excellent overview of Epson’s newest line of printers (the x880 series, which includes the Epson Stylus Pro 4880, 7880, 9880 and 11880). It was written by Joseph Holmes, a photographer who has made some of the most beautiful and detailed inkjet prints that I’ve ever seen. On the site you can also find some interesting movies that compare the color gamuts of a number of printers (each pair using similar papers), including Epson printers, the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF5000, and the HP Designjet Z3100. If you are interested in the technology behind the printers, I highly recommend taking a look at the article here.
