Selected Gamut Mapping Utilities (L.21 from the book)

CHROMiX ColorThink 2.0 and ColorThink Pro: The “kings” of gamut mapping software. Both products have a very impressive feature set.

Apple ColorSync Utility: This tool is available in Mac OSX in the Application>Utilities folder. It is not nearly as full-featured as CHROMiX ColorThink, but I’ve found it good for viewing and comparing profile gamuts. On Tip 69 (Page 107) of “301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques” I show how I compare two profiles using the Apple Colorsync Utility.

  "301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques" is terrific. It's a very thorough "encyclopedia" of how to make prints, and what you can do with them. In my view, it should be called "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Making and Using Inkjet Prints But Were Afraid to Ask."
  The book is also filled with wonderful photographs contributed by Andrew and his very accomplished friends and clients.
  Great information, and well worth the price.
